Trash The Dress

We shot Sarah and Dustin’s The Club at the Strand wedding earlier this year they opted to not have an Engagement Session but instead have a Trash The Dress Session. So we packed up our equipment and headed to Fish Eating Creek in Palmdale, FL. Our first location was the old Florida Oak Tree hammock where we shot Dustin and Sarah sitting on limbs and fallen down trees.

Our next stop was a bit of a off road adventure, Linsey found an island that would be a perfect place if we could only get to it. Sarah agreed so we checked the water for Gators and waded across the swampy moat to a little island surrounded by cypress trees and cypress knees. We are so glad we had a couple willing to cross that water to get to this swamp… A true trash the dress dream location.

We were soon rain off by a spider the size of my hand, so we headed to the lake, our last trash the dress location. At first we shot around the canoes and in the grass but Sarah was satisfied with just getting the bottom of her dress wet. She said she was there to trash the dress and that is just want she wanted to do. Within a few minutes she jumped in the lake and was floating around. Hair wet, make-up smeared and still as pretty as when she arrived, Sarah is by far our bravest bride that we have shot. Thanks Sarah and Dustin for letting us capture your day and your fun photos as well.
