What better way to have your senior year portrait photo shoot than to share it with your best friend. This was a fun time with these two beautiful young ladies. We traveled down to Clam Pass Park in North Naples a little before sunset. The sun was golden and the weather was perfect, I couldn’t ask for a more perfect evening. Enjoy!

Loved photographing this mom-to-be at her Pilates studio for her maternity photos. This was a fun and casual way for Nastia to show off her new baby bump and get in a little work out too.

We were asked to shoot Ashley’s senior portraits down on Third Street South in Naples.

This is a great area to shoot with all the old Florida cottage homes, huge banyan trees and flowers galore.

After about an hour of shooting 3rd Street and the businesses we made our way down to the Naples, Pier

Sanibel Island Wedding
Matt and Andrea just seem like they were made for each other, the way the look into each other’s eyes, the way they smile at one another from 50 feet away… you can just tell. The couple tied the knot on the South side of Sanibel Island, a perfect location because you get to see the sunset over the Gulf.

Island Inn on Sanibel Island. If you are looking for a quaint little spot on the island to get married on I would highly recommend stopping by and checking out the old-fashioned hotel and their cottages. Super Cute!

This was a perfect day and location for this Destination Beach Wedding. Bright blue skies before and during the beach ceremony and a perfect sunset to cap off the day. The wedding was held at the Island Inn Resort on Sanibel Island.

Tween Waters Inn Wedding

If you are looking for an Old Florida beach town to tie the knot in I would surely stop by Tween Waters on Captiva Island. This place has it all: The Gulf of Mexico, the Bay, marina, 2 restaurants, a spa, a pool.

How cute are these little ones.

There is a story behind these rings. The year before they got married they came to Sanibel Island for a vacation and found a few mother of pearl shells. They went back home and located a jeweler that made custom pieces. So the took in the shells, designed the rings and a few weeks later they have matching rings that will last a life time.

Samantha + Paul Leonard’s Sanibel Wedding Ceremony on the beach. The wedding took place at 5PM in the Middle of April. It was a perfect Spring Day on Sanibel Island.

A look at Kathryn and Dustin’s Destination Beach Wedding on Sanibel Island by Scott Kelsey Photography.

The decor was vintage beach theme, I really liked the blue glass mason jars they used as flower vases.

The bride got ready in an old Florida Cottage that was perfect for a beach wedding. It had tons of windows, a dream indoor environment for me as a photographer.

The couple tied-the-knot right at sunset, the lighting was perfect.

Once the ceremony was over we headed out to shoot a mini session with just the bride and groom. We like these shoots because everyone stay back and the newly weds get to enjoy their first few minutes alone, very intimate.

This shot is one of my favorites of this year, it just capped off a classic beach wedding. Cangrats Kathryn and Dustin.

Introducing Our New Wedding Albums
We have searched high and low for the prefect wedding album and we think we have found them. We just upgraded our albums to a “Lay flat” printed on a rich photographic paper with a beautiful metallic cover. Seriously… they are amazing. You really have to hold this in your hands to feel the quality of the materials, but this is the next best thing. Let us know what you think.

Sanibel Wedding Photographer: Kent + Kim

Look at that look, pure happiness.

Sanibel Wedding Photographer

What a special moment. Looking into each other eyes at their first sunset together as a married couple.

Father + Daughter Dance are one of most special parts to the reception. The two slow danced for a few seconds and then the beat dropped. They had a whole dance/skit planned out that no one knew about. AWESOME!

I love the lighting on this photo, on of my favorite first dances of the year.

Sanibel Arms West on Sanibel
and this was their exit: They danced to the door, Kent picked Kim up spun her around and they walked out those old french doors. A perfect ending to their day.

Love this old florida cottage back drop for the brides walk down to the beach to meet up with her future husband.

This is the one that sealed the deal. Congrats to the bride and groom.

Loved the golden sunset after the wedding, the reflection off of the Gulf was absolutely stunning.

Sanibel Island Wedding

We like to say our style is more of a Fine Art meets Wedding Photojournalism, we try not to pose our couples too much we let
you all interact with each other the way that makes you feel comfortable. That is the key if you feel comfortable your photos are
going to come out way better. Take the above photo for an example. Look how the groom is staring out the bride and how she is
laying against him as if they have sat like that before.

The above photo here shows the bridge and groom staring into one another’s eyes. We like to step back for a few minutes and
just when the couple has forgotten about us we start shooting, that is when we capture the most intimate shots of a wedding.

Are you thinking about doing a Trash the Dress session? Let me just tell you this is the most fun you will ever have a photo shoot. A typical session starts out kind of light, laying on the ground or sitting in the grass. The whole idea is to do something that most brides would never think about doing to their dress.

After a few minutes the brides start to really get into the shoots, climbing on rocks, laying in shells, just not worrying about snagging the dress or ripping it a little.

Then the fun begins: Trashing the dress, most of our brides get fully in the water with their gowns on, waves crashing over their bodies, sand getting into places it should be. All in all it is up to you where and what you do in a Mess the dress session. The possibilities are endless… Book Your Session Today.
